My main ideal is trying to modernized the story. In my adaption, I illustrated the Monkey King as a lonely child like little Prince who living on a Eastern Style small planet. He is living with many other monkeys in a big monkey palace. But he is the only creature that has the humanization and the emotion of human being. So that even he has many companies, he still feels loneliness sometimes. One day black hole appeared above his house with no reason and drag him into a strange planet full with factories and industrial area. At there a new adventure is waiting for him.
My design ideal is trying to combine the vision of Oriental Landscape and Industrial Beauty. In my opinion, the ancient and the modern has their own unique beauty. I want to approach an harmonious atmosphere with these two contradiction style.
